Warner Fish & Game Range Rules

“Seemingly obsessive concern with firearm safety is the mark of the firearms professional.”

  • Anyone using WFGC ranges including spectators must understand and follow all range rules.
  • Range Safety Officers (RSOs) act with the express authority of WFGC. All persons on the range will respect and comply with any directions given by RSOs.
  • All persons on the range must wear eye and ear protection as appropriate.
  • All members and guest must sign a Liability Waiver. They are available in the clubhouse. This is a one time requirement with your signed waiver being kept on file.
  • All members and guests must log in before using the range and log out when finished using the range. The log is kept in the clubhouse. Please be sure to lock the clubhouse and gate when leaving.
  • Members are limited to 3 guests per visit.
  • Shooters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or older.
  • Steel targets may only be used with .22lr. Shooting steel targets with centerfire cartridges is prohibited at all times.
  • No exploding targets, glass bottles, rocks, or cans allowed as targets.
  • No use of 50 BMG, .338 Lapua or similar large caliber. No fully automatics weapons allowed. No bump stocks, binary, or forced reset triggers allowed.
  • Use of lead bird shot is restricted.
  • Empty Chamber Indicators (ECIs) are mandatory for all guns not in use except for holstered pistols.
  • Firearms must be carried to the firing line unloaded and cased or with action open, magazine removed, and ECI inserted.
  • Firearms may only be worked on at a Hot firing line and never behind the firing line or in a parked car.
  • Do not handle firearms when the range is Cold. Ammunition and magazines may be handled when the range is Cold. Firearms may only be handled or shot when the range is Hot.
  • All shooters must shoot from the same firing line.
  • When a “Cease Fire” is called, all shooters must cease firing, make their firearms safe, insert ECIs, and point their muzzle in a safe direction.
  • The range will be made cold when anyone goes down range. Shooters will remain behind the firing line and not handle any firearms. Guns must be unloaded, magazines removed, and ECIs inserted. Long guns must be racked or have the muzzle pointed in a safe direction. Loaded pistols may be holstered.
  • Shooter must police their brass and targets. Please remove and dispose of trash properly
  • All shots must hit the berm. Rapid fire and drawing from a holster are allowed as long as done in a controlled manner with all shots impacting the berm.
  • No placing of targets on the ground or berm. Please use the provided netting with a backer or portable target stands.

About Warner Fish and Game Club

  • The purpose of this club is the promotion, preservation and conservation of the sports of hunting, trapping, shooting and other outdoor activities.
  • We are a non-profit organization. WFGC is a private club not open to the general public. The club will periodically host events, competitions, training,s and other activities which are open to the general public.
  • All ranges are open only to members in good standing and their accompanied guests.
  • All memberships expire on December 31st unless renewed earlier.

WFGC grounds and ranges are under 24/7 video surveillance and digital recording. Any person entering WFGC grounds grants their implied consent to such surveillance and recording. This consent extends to the use of resulting images or recordings in any investigation, disciplinary action, or prosecution resulting from actions while on WFGC grounds.
